c. An Article on an Academic Subject:
An increasingly popular application for philosophy is in counseling. It is commonly held that so-called **philosophical counseling** began in 1981 when [*http://www.odemagazine.com/doc/19/with_socrates_on_the_sofa/ Dr. Gerd Achenbach] opened his practice near Cologne, Germany. Today there are philosophical counselors, professional associations, and certification programs in the Netherlands, Canada, Norway, Austria, France, Switzerland, Israel, Great Britain, the United States, and many other countries. But the idea that philosophy can be used to alleviate distress, help individuals come to a better understanding of themselves and their world, and improve a person's life dates back to antiquity.
**How Philosophical Counseling Differs from Psychotherapy**
In many ways, philosophical counseling is similar to therapy. In both fields, the counselor or therapist seeks to raise the client’s level of self-awareness in order to assist her in solving problems, attaining emotional balance, or increasing self-esteem. In fact, the intersection between the two disciplines is great; many of today’s psychologists study and use the understandings of philosophical schools in their therapy sessions. Conversely, many professional philosophers have used the scientific discoveries of the social sciences - particularly psychology - to gain deeper insight into the nature of mental processes, cognition, memory, intelligence, and other related subjects.
The main difference is that the philosophical practitioner, having been trained in the discipline of philosophy, is specially adept at helping the client think through his issues rationally. His keen command of inferential thinking and inductive reason makes him particularly skilled at pointing out to the client the illogical thought patterns that may be dominating or frustrating the client’s journey toward individuation. Additionally, the philosophical practitioner is often well-versed in cultural peculiarities; she understands that an individual’s ethnic or national background can significantly affect how she thinks, processes, and reasons. Also, the philosophical practitioner is often freer to employ the methods of non-orthodox psychological schools in his or her work.

e. An Article About An Organization or Institution
The **Berkman Center for Internet and Society** was founded in 1997 by professors Jonathan Zittrain and Charlie Nesson. Since then it has grown from a small project within [[[Harvard Law School]]] to an interdisciplinary center of its own. It sponsors conferences, visiting lecturers, and residential and non-residential fellows.
Members of the center research, teach, and write books, articles, weblogs with RSS 2.0 feeds (for which the Center holds the specification), and podcasts (of which the first series took place at the Berkman Center). Its newsletter, "The Filter", is on the Web and available by e-mail, and it hosts a blog community of Harvard faculty, students, and Berkman Center affiliates. The Berkman Center is funding the Openlaw project, and is a co-founder of the OpenNet Initiative. Other projects include Global Voices Online and the recent StopBadware initiative.
The research center was founded at Harvard Law School and focuses on the legal study of cyberspace. As of May 15, 2008 the Center was elevated to an interfaculty initiative of Harvard University. Sister centers started by Berkman founders include the Stanford Center for Internet and Society and the Oxford Internet Institute.

f. An Article About A Book
//Still I Rise: A Cartoon History of African Americans// is a book co-authored by
[*http://www.linkedin.com/in/rolandlaird Roland Owen Laird, Jr.] and [*http://www.linkedin.com/in/taneshia Taneshia Nash Laird], and illustrated by Elihu “Adolfo” Bey. First published in September 1997, it was the first book to tell the vivid history of African Americans in one 200+ page cartoon narrative. Still I Rise covers the history of black people in America between the time periods of 1618, when the first skilled African craftspeople and farmers were brought over as indentured servants, to the Million Man March of 1995. Cartoonist Bey and the Lairds analyze such topics as militancy, separatism, integration, focusing on leaders such as Harriet Tubman, Fredrick Douglass, and Martin Luther King. The historically accurate book shows how Black Americans have persevered despite overwhelming odds.

3. Then, change the headers and feed keywords to new headers/keywords relative to the content of your article. For example, if your article was about "Cats," you would simply change all references to "AOL" to "Cats." The feeds will update automatically. If your subject is more than one word, such as "Himalaysian Cats," then use the syntax "/himalaysian%20cats" or "=himalaysian&cats" - whichever is appropriate for the URL feed type.
4. Feel free also to add informative, fact-based, encyclopedia-style text articles within the new page. You can add the text at the top or bottom of the page.
